I LOVED EVERYTHING
Read More

I loved everything about this book! For laugh out loud hilarity, and brilliant one-liners, this book shares anecdotes and lessons on dogs and their humans.

The author has an excellent turn of phrase, with droll humour and a whip-smart dry wit, she weaves magic on the art of training humans to care for their canine companions. Entertaining, funny, occasional tears, and worth every moment for a look into a world of dogs as told by an experienced dog-trainer.

Is this fiction and non-fiction blended? My guess is yes! In the vein of W Bruce Cameron’s heartwarming dog adventures and James Herriott’s Yorkshire vet stories, I loved this book. Highly recommended. Five stars for sure.

THANKS FOR SUCH A GREAT READ

I love books like this. The author made me feel she was sitting beside me telling me all about her life with dogs. Every chapter grabbed my attention and I read the book in about a week.

I would highly recommend this book to people thinking of getting a dog and/or those who are about to embark on the training of their dog. Maybe even those with problem dogs. Marianne Castle passes on her knowledge of dogs in a way that is so easy to understand and also throws out some misconceptions about why dogs do certain things and how to correct problems.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book but when the inevitable happened at the end of the book I couldn't help but shed a tear. Thank you for such a great read.

Not just for dog lovers
Read More
An enjoyable read about being an animal lover and owner in Oz and NZ. While it included some good tips on dog training, I found that you don't have to be a dog owner to appreciate the charm of this book. I particularly enjoyed the concept of 'dog gods'. A good afternoon read with a glass of wine.

Enjoyable Book

This was a very enjoyable book to read. All the stories flowed together nicely. There were some laugh out loud moments and I also needed a hanky a couple of times. She was a dog walker, dog groomer and dog trainer and these were some of the dogs and people she met along the way. Highly recommended.
